The Trinidad and Tobago United Community Association exist to showcase the independent multicultural of the twin-island of Trinidad and Tobago and its culture to the people of the United States of America.  They thought that one of the best ways to do that was to initiate the T&T Annual Independence Ball. The first ball, held in August 1962 took place at the Manhattan Center, 34th Street, New York City. It was also a tremendous opportunity for Trinidad and Tobago nationals residing in New York to come together and celebrate that very important achievement.
